Irrigation Drainage Engineering

The department of Irrigation Drainage Engineering is developed gradually in teaching and research activities. The primary object of the department is to give intellectual knowledge about understanding soil, water, and plant relationships and the application of engineering principles in distributing water to support useful plant life. The research programs are carried out through the B. Tech students’ project. Recently, the department taking a footstep in studies on Remote Sensing & GIS and hydrological modeling. The department is started to collaborate with the data providing institutes to expand the research boundaries. Soon the department will enter the process of MOU with different institutes, companies, government, and private firms which will bring out new dimensions for cooperative research in the field of Irrigation and Drainage engineering.
